Greek contract for Sundt Group
Sundt Air Holding has signed a contract with the Hellenic Ministry of Health for the delivery of two Air Ambulance Aircraft for Greece, in close collaboration with Sundt Air and Norwegian Special Mission. The contract was approved by the Greek Parlament on the 11th of June, and was made effective by pre-payment on the 24th of June.
After working strategically for several years with the Greek government, we succeeded in signing this contract through good collaboration within the Sundt Group. The contract is for the delivery of two Textron King Air 350C Air Ambulance Aircraft to the Hellenic Ministry of Health, for the total contractual value of over 17 Million USD. The aircraft will be operated by the Hellenic Air Force, and the staff will be medical personnel from the National Centre for Emergency Care.
The purchase will be paid by a donation from the foundation after one of Greece’s wealthiest ship owners; Stavros Niarchos. The aircraft will be delivered from Textron’s production line in the last quarter of 2020, and are then to be modified into Ambulance Aircraft by Spectrum Aeromed i Fargo, North-Dakota. We expect delivery to Greece in the first quarter of 2021.
This is a breakthrough for our work in Greece, where we are working on potential projects for both Airborne Surveillance and with the Aerial Authorities for Flight Inspection.
